The ICRC is recruiting a mobile Emergency Medicine Specialist for global field deployment. The role combines direct clinical care, clinical leadership and capacity building in resource-limited and challenging environments. Responsibilities include leading emergency department operations, triage and resuscitation, trauma management, supervision and mentoring of health staff, emergency medicine training, infection prevention and control, and mass-casualty preparedness. Selected candidates join a deployment pool and may be assigned to field operations.
Candidate eligibility: The ICRC states that mobile assignments are in resource-limited or conflict-affected environments and are non-family postings. Candidates must be willing to commit to assignments of at least three to six months and undergo the required medical checks.
