UNEP is seeking an Environmental Law Specialist to support legal, regulatory and institutional readiness for implementation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and participation in carbon markets in selected Latin American countries. The assignment includes country-level legal and institutional assessments, stakeholder engagement, South-South exchange, identification of legal and regulatory gaps, institutional needs and areas of coherence or conflict, and recommendations to support effective frameworks while considering environmental integrity, human rights, stakeholder participation and national climate objectives.
