From first search to a confident application in a few minutes. How NGO Jobs Africa works for professionals, members and organisations.
1. Find opportunities
- Search in one place. Filter 1,043 open opportunities by keyword, country, sector, career level and type, or start from Browse Jobs, Categories, Jobs by Country, Consultancies, Grants or Tenders.
- See what is new and what is closing. Added Today lists everything published since midnight, and Closing Soon shows deadlines in the next few days.
- Read the essentials first. Each listing shows the organisation, location, level, contract type, deadline, official source and the date we checked it.
- Apply on the official route. The Apply button opens the organisation's own application page or email. We do not collect applications for employers unless a listing clearly says so.
2. Unlock members-only opportunities
Full-time jobs, consultancies, fellowships, internships, volunteer roles, scholarships, training, grants and tenders are members-only. In search results they show with the organisation and part of the title blurred and a lock badge, so you can see how many match before you decide. The Opportunities Pass unlocks all of them.
- Choose a pass. 3 days (USD 1, first pass only), 30 days (USD 3.75), 90 days (USD 9) and 12 months (USD 33.75). The 3-day pass is a one-time offer for new members, limited to one per person, phone number and email address.
- Create your account and pay. M-Pesa is selected for you: a prompt appears on your phone and you enter your PIN. If it does not arrive, send a new prompt from the order page or pay with the Paybill details shown there. To pay by card, choose Visa or Mastercard and complete the payment on the secure card page. You are charged in Kenya shillings, and the pay button shows the exact amount first.
- Start straight away. Access begins once payment is confirmed, usually within seconds. Your pass and its end date appear in My Account.
- Keep track of every payment. My Account > Payments & credit lists each payment with its M-Pesa receipt or card reference, what it was for and your account balance.
3. Your account balance and automatic renewal
- Prefund your account. In My Account > Prefund my account you can add USD 1 to USD 500 by M-Pesa or card. The amount is added to your balance once payment is confirmed.
- Used automatically. Your balance is taken off your next pass at checkout. If it covers the full price, there is nothing to pay; if not, you pay only the difference.
- Automatic renewal, if you choose it. Renewal is off unless you turn it on and pick a 30-day, 90-day or 12-month plan. When your pass ends and your balance covers that plan, it renews and we email a receipt. If your balance is short, we email you 3 days before your pass ends and again on the day. The 3-day pass never renews.
- Your M-Pesa and card are never charged automatically. Renewal only ever uses money already in your balance.
- Reminders. We email you 24 hours before any pass ends. If you buy again, the new days are added to the end of your current pass.
4. Let opportunities come to you
- Job alerts. Save any search as an alert and receive new matches by email. While your pass is active, alerts include members-only matches.
- Weekly email. Choose your country and opportunity type and receive the newest openings once a week. Unsubscribe with one click.
- WhatsApp channel. Follow our free channel for new opportunities, with links straight to the full details.
5. Invite friends and earn free days
Members who have bought a pass receive a personal referral link. When a friend buys a pass through it, free days are added to the member's own pass: 2 days for a 3-day pass, 7 days for a 30-day pass, 14 days for a 90-day pass and 30 days for a 12-month pass. Details are on Refer and Earn.
6. For organisations
- Create an organisation account with your official name, website and logo.
- Post your opportunity through Post an Opportunity, with a clear deadline and an official application link or email. Basic listings are free.
- We review and publish, usually within one working day, across search, category and country pages, alerts and the weekly email.
- Extend your reach. Featured placement, homepage adverts and recruitment partnerships are on For Organisations. Paid listings are open to every visitor.
What we never do
- Make hiring, funding or contract decisions. The organisation decides.
- Promise a job, interview, grant or contract.
- Charge your M-Pesa or card without your confirmation.
- Sell your personal data.
- Ask you for money to apply for an opportunity.
